What is Clearune?
Clearune is a private digital journal that helps you capture thoughts, reflect on experiences, explore dreams, and notice patterns that emerge across your writing.
How do AI reflections work?
You can ask for a reflection on any saved entry. In the recommended “When it notices something important” mode, Clearune may also classify a saved entry and occasionally offer a short automatic reflection without using your reply allowance. Choose “Only when I ask” in Account to turn automatic reflections off. AI reflections support self-reflection; they are not medical advice or therapy.
Is my journal private?
Your stored journal content is encrypted in your browser before it reaches the database. Sign-in providers never receive your entries. Readable text is processed only for AI features enabled by your reflection preference; “Only when I ask” prevents automatic reflection processing. What does Google Sign-In share with Clearune?
If you choose Google Sign-In, Clearune receives your email address, name, profile image, and Google account identifier through Clerk. We use them only to create and authenticate your Clearune account. We do not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, Contacts, files, or other Google Account content.
Do I need Google to use Clearune?
No. You can create an account with email and password or choose Google, Apple, or Facebook sign-in.
Can I export or delete my Clearune data?
Yes. Users can export their journal and permanently delete their account and associated data from the account settings.
